Life's too short for ... Weingut Penfolds 23/03/2004 TNB
One wine available by the glass with my Tafelspitz (a sort of discriminating man's "boiled beef and carrots") at an upmarket Vienna restaurant last week was a Shiraz from "Weingut Penfolds". I resisted the temptation and had instead a bottle of Knoll Gruner Veltliner. Not perhaps the ideal match for the food but very pleasant.
