A new (to me) Bandol 26/05/2013 (TNB)
- Vin de Pays du Mont Caume blanc 2011 (Domaine Ray-Jane) Almost Bandol blanc, but some doubt about grape varieties stops that. Fresh, attractive fruit, good depth, completely enjoyable. Perfect for Summer, if we ever have one. Bare even.
- Bandol 2001 (Domaine Ray-Jane) Very traditionally styled: quite seriously tannic still. Great density and good length. Bags of character and completely authentic. I'd be interested to try more from this estate.
- Bandol Rose 2011 (Domaine Ray-Jane) Yellowy gold rather than pink and correspondingly the fruit has none of the Summer strawberry character one might expect. More like a meaty white wine than anything. Interesting, but I'm not that keen on it. perhaps.
